Thanks for taking the time to explore my work!
I’m Shannon, a freelance artist, illustrator. and graphic designer based out of southeastern Michigan. My work primarily focuses on pop culture paintings, and movie poster art, but I love taking on new projects and I’ve worked on everything from brand design to pet portraits.
I’ve been drawing since I was very young, but my journey to a career in art has taken a bit more of a winding path than a lot of other artists. Despite always loving art, I pursued a more formal liberal arts education and graduated in 2021 with a B.A. in Classical Archaeology from the University of Michigan. I had a very positive and rewarding experience in academia, but towards the end of my degree I realized that my true passion lay in creating art, not in writing papers. Now, I spend my days working as a graphic designer and my evenings/weekends creating painted portraits of beloved pop culture characters and selling my art at conventions and art shows.
When I’m not drawing, I love travelling, hiking, reading, obsessing over my favorite movies, petting my dog, and constantly thinking about my next trip to Disney.
